This month includes: How to be an Asset to Your Campus, and a special episode (download) of Preaching to the Choir Podcast, featuring Jen Randall and Natalie Brown on the topic of working to be a team player and more collaborative on your campus to build your program!
The piece of paper that started it all.
The perpetual calendar gives directors and show choir professionals a guideline for when show choir planning and events should take place during a school year. It's important to note that this is a generic version, geared specifically toward high school programs. Most logistics can be started (and completed) before they show up in a specific month - but once you see it on the calendar, it's your last opportunity to do the item listed. If you thrive on deadlines, this is for you. If you struggle to remember how early order your costumes, this is for you, too. :)
Jen Randall is the founder and director of Show Collective. With almost 20 years in the choral classroom, Jen realized something was missing for professionals in show choir...Professional Development! Show Collective aims to change that with events and online education specifically for choir directors and show choir pros. Born out of years of conversations with directors and college students all over the country; we provide training, digital resources and content, as well as a year long "collective" professional development program.
Jen is also the host of Preaching to the Choir Podcast and the author of the book "The Art of Competitive Show Choir" (GIA, 2020).
